What's Brewing at Bone Brewing?

Check the Brew Board for what’s on tap today. Bones regularly varies the craft beer selections on tap for special events, changing seasons, or just because we get a hankering to create something special. In addition to these selections, look for Victory Ale, Naughty or Nice Winter Stout, Maggie Malone Irish Red, Dirty D’s Black IPA, Bones Light Ale, Redinger Red, Glen Ryan Scottish Ale and more... Listed in approximate order of color, bitterness, and fullness. Grizzly Wulff Wheat is styled after the Austrian Kristall Weizen, a clear and filtered wheat beer. In 2003, the Wulff had the distinction of being selected as one of “America’s Finest” by Playboy Magazine. Its light refreshing taste was designed for those who like wheat beers but do not care for the cloudiness and flavor of the unfiltered wheats. SG = 1.050. Buffalo Bill Cody Beer is a traditional rye by standards but modified Rockies-style. It starts with a bright straw-amber color and follows with a mild fruity-estery aroma at low levels.  The taste is light to the tongue but pushes toward medium with a Rockies-style addition of biscuit malt.  Hop bitterness is low to allow malt and rye flavors to come through. SG = 1.049 Huckle-Weizen is World Cup Silver Medal bear food in a bottle. Fresh natural huckleberries are balanced with Cascade Hops in this wonderfully crafted beer - just enough fruit character to assure a yearn for the wilderness. Designed for beer lovers who like a refreshing light character with a twist of natures best beery. SG = 1.051. Pompey’s Pilsner is the first lager-style beer brewed at Bones Brewing using traditional Bohemian brewing techniques and European malts and hops. When someone says, “Czech this out!”, they’re talking about this excellent, crisp, golden straw lager. SG = 1.049 Bones Vienna Lager is brewed in classic style based on recipes from its namesake village. It is the most popular of Mexican dark styles made by 19th century Austrian immigrants. Malt is the standout character with roasty tones from Vienna malt: hop bitterness is mild. SG= 1.052 Bonehead Ale Montana’s Fossil Fuel, is a mild ale available in draft and bottles that is consistently rated by taters as #1 among the best of popular beers in its category. Bonehead is a session ale with body from generous Munich malt yet low enough in gravity to please a wide range of beer lovers. SG = 1.051 Wild Fly Ale is a full-bodied malty amber beer and Gold Medal Winner of the 2002 West Yellowstone Beer Festival. Like the popular Adams Fly pattern, the amber beer shares its widespread appeal, distinctive and gentle appearance, and overall elegance. A soft bitterness is developed by Magnum and Cascade hops. The Fly is designed for those who enjoy a full flavored malty beer with low to moderate hop bitterness. SG = 1.056. Renegade Red Ale “Surprise Favorite” of the Jackson Hole Beer Festival, is a malty extra-special bitter ale, dark in color, and hopped to balance malt and suit the style. Like its namesake, the beer comes on with a bold sweetness, has a smooth full body feel, and a finish that snares the palate. The Renegade is designed for those who like a bold product, often characterized by a dark color. SG = 1.058. Sundowner American Pale Ale is a perfect companion to a warm spring or summer day, like a Montana mountain sunset warming your heart. Crisp, quenching hops balanced by sweet malt undertones. Best enjoyed with great friends at sunset! SG = 1.051 Numbskull IPA is the quintessential India Pale Ale. Adhering to real tradition, the Numbskull is a perfect balance between slight malt sweetness and bitterness from generous additions of tasty and aromatic hops. Best enjoyed any time of year! SG = 1.060 Black Widow (Oatmeal) Stout is a smooth malty oatmeal stout (1998 GABF Gold Medal winner!) balanced by flavors of roasted barley and chocolate malt. Gentle bittering but generous aroma is given by the popular English hop, East Kent Golding. This smooth stout is attractive to anyone who likes a fullflavored beer, including hardcore connoisseurs of stout. The image was developed to symbolize the alluring if not sinister character of the Black Widow Stout! SG = 1.058. Sharptooth Organic Peat Smoked Porter The name almost says it all but the taste nails this as a big, smooth, chocolaty rich black beer owing to a balance of chocolate, black, and roasted malts with enough hops to make you yum every sip. Best served at 50 degrees so don’t ask for a cold glass! SG = 1.062 Wooley Bugger (Grand Cru) Root Beer, Black Elixir of the Yellowstone, is a truly spiritual and enlightening experience. As with any superior and hearty champagne, the Wooley Bugger wears the Grand Cru designation for its shear power over other root beers. The Wooley Bugger is available on draft and 6-packs.
