 Past Mars LINKS: MySpace Page BIO: Past Mars is an alternative rock power trio. They have coined an original musical style all their own known as 'Space Rock.' Space Rock is a combination of alternative rock, funk, hip-hop, and electronica. Past Mars gives you a mind blowing live musical experience with a veritable plethora of catchy melodies, interesting instruments and unique effects. Past Mars has released their second album LEVITATE which won numerous 2008 tuneys. This is the highly anticipated follow up to their previous tuney award winning album SPACE ROCKS. "Another year, another CD, another sweep of the Tuneys. That’s the story of Billings space rock trio Past Mars, who took home five of the 35 reader-voted Tuney Awards last weekend. They were among the seven acts that performed at this year’s event last Sunday evening at the Garage Pub at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Co. In addition to Best Rock Act, Past Mars won Best Local CD and Best Song for the title track to their brand new CD, “Levitate.” Past Mars guitarist and vocalist Nate North also won the Best Producer/Engineer Tuney for his recording of the album.
